Realme has expanded its Realme 15 series lineup with the introduction of the Realme 15x, a durable mid-range smartphone offering a powerful battery, upgraded cameras, and advanced display features.
Design and Display
The Realme 15x comes with a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD panel that supports a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits peak brightness. The screen includes Smart Touch support, allowing users to operate the phone even with wet hands, gloves, or inside waterproof bags.
In terms of durability, the device carries MIL-STD-810H certification along with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings. Marketed as an “IP69 Pro” standard, this ensures resistance against dust, water, and up to 36 different liquids within a temperature range of 0°C to 85°C. The Realme 15x is 8.2mm thick, weighs 212 grams, and comes in Aqua Blue, Marine Blue, and Maroon Red color options.
Internals and Software
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, the Realme 15x runs on Android 15 with Realme UI 6. Buyers get multiple memory configurations: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB. Storage can also be expanded up to 2TB through a microSD card.
Camera
The smartphone features a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary camera on the rear, accompanied by an additional secondary lens (details yet to be disclosed). On the front, it houses a 50MP OmniVision OV50D40 sensor for selfies.
The camera system integrates several AI-powered enhancements, including AI Ultra Clarity 2.0, AI Motion Deblur, AI Eraser, AI Glare Remover, and AI Image Matting, all aimed at improving photography and editing flexibility.
Battery and Pricing
A massive 7,000 mAh battery powers the Realme 15x. While the phone ships with an 80W power adapter, it supports 60W fast charging and 6.5W reverse wired charging, enabling users to charge other devices directly.
Pricing is set at $190 for the model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at $200, while the top model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs $225.
