Huawei is preparing to launch its next clamshell foldable, the Nova Flip S, and new leaks reveal important details. Reports suggest the device may ship with a toned-down Kirin 9020 variant, called the Kirin 8020, or a fresh Kirin 8030.

If it carries the Kirin 8020, the move will not surprise many, since the Nova 14 Ultra already uses it. However, the tipster believes the Nova Flip S will more likely debut with the unannounced Kirin 8030 chipset.

On design, leaks claim[1] the Nova Flip S will remain identical to the previous generation with no major changes, offering no significant external changes. Huawei[2] is expected to launch three memory configurations: 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and the top-tier 12GB/1TB model.

For now, details about the CPU and GPU of the Kirin 8030 remain missing, leaving enthusiasts waiting for confirmation. Still, the launch window appears close, so official details are likely to arrive sooner rather than later.
