The Nigerian forward wants to join Inter and has agreed to a €4.5 million per year contract, even though Napoli offered him more money. Inter first offered Atalanta €40 million for Lookman, but the club said no. Inter then made a better offer — €42 million plus €3 million in bonuses — but Atalanta rejected that too. They want €50 million.
Lookman Upset About Broken Promises
After the second offer was turned down, Lookman posted online that he has officially asked to leave. He said the club broke promises they made to him and treated him unfairly. To show how serious he is, he didn’t show up for training today, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Atalanta Says No… For Now
Even with Lookman refusing to train, Atalanta says they won’t sell him unless they get the full €50 million. The club’s CEO admitted they told Lookman he could leave for a top team this summer, but said that deal didn’t include selling to another Italian club like Inter. They still want to control who he joins and for what price.
