Samsung has expanded its A-series lineup with the introduction of the Galaxy Tab A11 and Galaxy Tab A11+. The smaller A11 is already rolling out to markets worldwide, while the larger A11+ will not be released until the end of 2025, for some odd reason.
Design and Display
The Galaxy Tab A11 is built around an 8.7-inch LCD, while the A11+ features a bigger 11-inch panel. Both models support a 90Hz refresh rate. The tablets will be available in silver and gray finishes. Each device includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, supports Dolby Atmos audio, and offers expandable storage of up to 2TB through a microSD card.
Performance and Software
The Galaxy Tab A11 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor. Samsung has not yet disclosed the chipset for the A11+. Both tablets will benefit from the company’s long-term support policy, receiving seven years of operating system upgrades and security updates.
The Galaxy Tab A11+ will include Samsung[1] DeX mode, a feature that enables a desktop-like interface and multitasking. It is not yet clear whether the device has a USB 3 port to expand connectivity, but the addition of DeX remains the most significant distinction between the two tablets.
Battery and Pricing
Battery capacity is one of the main differences between the two models. The Galaxy Tab A11 comes with a rather small (for a tablet) 5,400 mAh unit, while the A11+ carries a larger 7,040 mAh battery. The bigger tablet supports 25W charging. The smaller model’s charging speed has not been confirmed, though it is expected to remain at 15W, similar to its predecessors in the A-series.
The Galaxy Tab A11 is available at roughly $155 for 4/64GB and $215 for 8/128GB. A 5G variant is also available, priced at about $190 for 64GB and $250 for 128GB. The larger storage model also doubles the memory to 8GB of RAM. Samsung has not yet announced the price of the Galaxy Tab A11+.
The Galaxy Tab A11 is already on sale in select countries and will reach additional regions in early October.
