Yvonne (Burgess) Mizell, 90, of Greenwood, Arkansas went to meet her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 in her home. She was born April 1, 1935 in Hackett, Arkansas to Alfred and Jewel (Farrar) Burgess. She was a retired community representative from the Co-op Extension Service, a division of the University of Arkansas and a member of Greenwood First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Mizell and wife, Melinda of Greenwood and Rusty Mizell of Little Rock; one brother, John Paul Walker of Greenwood; two grandsons, Bill Mizell and Brody Mizell; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Mary Burgess; husband, Roy Mizell; sister, Linda Bewley and one brother, Dr. James Burgess.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Friday, August 1 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Cross Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
