Fans of The Elder Scrolls who have been waiting for the physical edition of Oblivion Remastered are apparently being rewarded for their patience with a cheaper-than-expected price. Oblivion Remastered’s physical Deluxe Edition is available to preorder now for only $40 at Amazon[1] and GameStop[2]. Unless it’s a pricing error, the physical edition for PS5[3] and Xbox Series[4] costs $10 less than the standard digital edition and $20 less than the Digital Deluxe Edition. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Deluxe Edition launches October 13.

Oblivion Remastered’s Deluxe Edition is a disc-based physical edition, but it appears at least some data will need to be downloaded. The Xbox Series X box art notes the required download. This message isn’t present on the front of the PS5 box, though this doesn’t necessarily mean the PlayStation edition has more data on the disc. It’s unclear how much of Oblivion Remastered’s roughly 120GB file will need to be downloaded on either platform.
The Deluxe Edition grants access to an app to listen to the soundtrack and flip through a digital art book. It also comes with a voucher for bonus in-game weapons, character armor, and horse armor.

Oblivion Remastered earned in 8/10 in GameSpot’s review[6] when it launched digitally back in April on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The drastically overhauled experience contains the base game and Oblivion’s large story expansions, Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine.
PC players who haven’t picked it up yet can save roughly 30% on the standard and Digital Deluxe Editions at Fanatical. Steam keys for the standard edition[7] are on sale for $34.49 (was $50), and the Digital Deluxe Edition[8] is $41.39 (was $60). The Digital Deluxe also comes with the digital soundtrack and art book app, but the DLC items are different from the physical edition. With the Digital Deluxe, you’ll get Akatosh Armor/Weapons as well as Mehrunes Dagon Armor/Weapons.
