Enyimba International Football Club has warmly welcomed the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Chioma Otti (OFR), to their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match against Bendel Insurance.
The match, a week 5 fixture of the new season, will take place today, Sunday 21 September 2025, at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, by 4:00 p.m.
In a statement signed by the club’s management, Enyimba described Governor Otti as their “number one super fan” and said his presence would inspire the players to fight for maximum points and strengthen their position at the top of the league table.
“Your coming is indeed a true reflection of your unwavering commitment to giving Abians the best of good governance,” the statement read. “We are delighted and honoured to have you grace our match today.”
Governor Otti, since assuming office, appointed the Kanu Nwankwo-led management team at Enyimba.
Meanwhile, at the same time in Uyo, another Abia State-sponsored team, Abia Warriors, will face Djoliba Athletic Club of Mali at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.
