Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman continued his fine form with a goal as Atalanta thrashed Juventus 0-4 in a Serie A clash on Sunday night.

Atalanta manager Ivan Juric has confirmed that Ademola Lookman will be available for Sunday’s Serie A match against Torino, but admitted the Nigerian winger is not yet fully fit.

Lookman only rejoined full training with the Atalanta squad on Thursday, after a summer where he tried to push for a move to Inter Milan. As a result, he has not played for Atalanta this season.

However, the 27-year-old did make two appearances for Nigeria during the recent international break.

Speaking in his press conference on Saturday, Juric said Lookman has been welcomed back warmly by the squad and is now getting back into shape.

“He spoke with me, the team and the staff. Everyone received him well,” Juric said. “From tomorrow, he’ll start to be available to us.”

The manager explained that although Lookman trained well on Friday, his fitness is still not at its best due to training alone for much of the past few weeks.

“He’s not in top condition, but he did very well in training,” Juric added.

Lookman’s return will be a boost for Atalanta as they look to build momentum in the league.
