Huawei has unveiled the Watch Ultimate 2, an upgraded version of last year’s Watch Ultimate, featuring underwater messaging, improved durability, and advanced health tracking. The new smartwatch is designed for divers and outdoor enthusiasts, combining cutting-edge technology with a premium design.
The Watch Ultimate 2 keeps its luxury build with a zirconium-based liquid metal case, ceramic bezels, and sapphire glass, but now comes with slimmer bezels for a more refined look. It sports a 1.5-inch LTPO2 AMOLED display with 3,500 nits peak brightness, available in Compass Black and Ocean Blue editions.
A major highlight is its 20ATM water resistance, allowing it to survive up to 150 meters underwater. Huawei has also introduced sonar-based communication, enabling divers to send preset messages and SOS signals to nearby devices within 30–60 meters a feature that sets it apart from rivals like Apple Watch Ultra.
For connectivity, the smartwatch supports eSIM, dual-band GPS, and BeiDou satellite messaging (China only), along with on-device calling and music playback. It delivers up to 4.5 days of regular use, extendable to 11 days in power-saving mode.
Health features are powered by Huawei’s TruSense system and a new X-Tap sensor, capable of tracking 11 health metrics, including ECG monitoring. This makes it equally suited for both fitness tracking and medical insights.
The Compass Black model costs €899, while the Ocean Blue version is priced at €999, signaling Huawei’s push to compete in the premium smartwatch market with unique underwater and health innovations.
