Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has once again said he will not change his tactics, no matter what others think.
The 40-year-old coach made it clear that even the Pope couldn’t convince him to change his system.
When asked if he had considered switching things up, Amorim replied:
“No, no, no. Not once. Not even the Pope [can make me], it will not change.”
Amorim admitted he is more concerned about how the players would react if he suddenly changed his style of play.
Since taking over, Amorim has stuck with his 3-4-2-1 formation, even though he currently has the worst win record of any United manager since World War II.
He is also in charge of Manchester United’s worst Premier League start in 33 years.
