Kwara United Football Club have arrived in Ghana ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary Round match against Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.
The team travelled in two batches, with the first group touching down in Accra on Friday morning and the final batch arriving later in the evening.
The delegation, which departed from Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos at 7:05 a.m., is led by Nigeria Football Federation official Timothy Hamman and the club’s General Manager, Bashir Badawiy.
Also on the trip are coaches Tunde Sanni and Dele Aiyenugba, team doctor Rotimi Oyinloye, and curator Hussain Garuba. A second group of players and officials followed in the afternoon, leaving Lagos at 4:00 p.m.
Kwara United will officially begin their continental campaign on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium, with kickoff set for 4:00 p.m. against Asante Kotoko.
