
The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications (MoITT) has opened applications for a senior leadership role at the Pakistan Digital Authority (PDA). The position, created under the Digital Nation Pakistan Act 2025, is for the post of Member.
The PDA is a new body tasked with driving Pakistan’s digital transformation. Its mandate includes creating a digital society, boosting the digital economy, and promoting transparent governance through technology.
According to the official terms, the member will work with the chairperson to implement the National Digital Masterplan. The role involves advising on regulatory frameworks, digital transformation standards, and ensuring the security and interoperability of digital public infrastructure (DPI). The Member will also engage with government, private sector, and international stakeholders.
Applicants must bring at least 10 years of experience in digital transformation, technology policy, or governance. Preference will go to candidates who have led national or regional digital projects, DPI initiatives, or data governance reforms. The maximum age for eligibility is 62 years.
The position is contractual for five years and offers a market-based salary package. Applications must be submitted in a single PDF file by email within 15 days of publication.
MoITT has stated that government or semi-government employees must apply through proper channels. Selected candidates from these sectors will need to resign before appointment. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted, and no TA/DA will be provided.
Officials said the appointment is vital to shaping Pakistan’s “innovative, inclusive, and secure digital future.”
