After teasing the existence of a new Darksiders game last year, THQ Nordic has confirmed what we all had already assumed: Darksiders 4 is coming.
The new game will pick up directly after the events of the original Darksiders, which was the first game released but is actually the last chronologically, taking place after Darksiders II, Darksiders III, and Darksiders: Genesis.
At the end of Darksiders, we saw War summoning the other Riders. His last words are repeated here in the new trailer.
THQ Nordic isn’t showing us too much of Darksiders 4, though. The trailer only really confirms that all four Horsemen will be in the game and playable. No release date was announced, but we do know it will launch on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.

I don’t mind telling you, I’m hyped for this. While the series hasn’t been the most consistent in terms of quality, it has a certain hokey, fun vibe that clicks with me. And I especially love how each game has been something different, so I’m eager to see how they combine all of that for this fourth installment.
