The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, will on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, lead other board members of the federation to Kaduna for the 16th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigeria National League (NNL).
The meeting, which will hold at Fifth Chukker Hotel and Suites, was originally scheduled for 10–13 September but was shifted due to logistics.
At the AGM, the NNL board will review last season’s activities and map out plans to sustain the league’s progress. Key announcements will include clubs promoted to the Nigeria Premier Football League, relegated sides, and those moving up from the Nation One League into the NNL. The date for the 2025/2026 season kick-off will also be confirmed.
In addition, the official sponsor of the new season is expected to be unveiled during the meeting.
Chairman of the NNL, Mr George Aluo, assured that all preparations have been completed for a smooth event. He added that stakeholders, including club chairmen, are already in Kaduna and ready to receive the NFF President and his delegation.
“Everything needed for a successful AGM has been put in place. All board members and stakeholders are on ground, and I can assure you that we are set for a very successful meeting,” Aluo said.
