Apple has announced the iPhone 17[1] with a clear focus on core hardware improvements. The iPhone 17 Specs highlight a larger 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate that keeps the screen smooth and supports an Always On display by dropping to 1 Hz when idle. The display uses Ceramic Shield 2 and a new coating for stronger scratch resistance and reduced reflection. Peak brightness reaches 3,000 nits for improved outdoor visibility.

The iPhone 17 Specs list the new A19 chip built on a 3 nm process. The six-core CPU delivers about 1.5 times the performance of the A15 Bionic, and the five-core GPU is more than twice as fast. An upgraded Neural Engine and updated ISP enable better image processing and advanced Apple Intelligence features. Battery life supports up to 30 hours of video playback, and the phone can charge to 50 percent in 20 minutes with a compatible high-wattage USB-C power adapter.

Regarding connectivity, the iPhone 17 Specs feature the Apple N1 chip that would support Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. These measures are supposed to promote Personal Hotspot, AirDrop, and smart home functions. There will be select markets where the device will be sold with eSIM.

The iPhone 17[2] Specs are defined by camera and storage upgrades. The phone has two rear cameras with a resolution of 48 megapixels, as the main and ultrawide camera. Lossless 2x optical zoom is supported by the main camera, and the ultrawide with macro. The Photographic Styles are perfected, and iOS 26 also includes a Bright style to get better skin tones. Base storage now starts at 256 GB.

The iPhone 17 is available in several colors. Pre-orders open on September 12, and the first release date is September 19, with wider availability on September 26.
