The city of Jonesboro Communications Department has launched several new online tools and resources designed to make it easier for residents, businesses, and media to connect with city services and stay informed. The updates, now available on the city’s official website[1], provide transparency, efficiency, and opportunities for community engagement.
“These new tools allow us to streamline communication and make it more convenient for the public to access city services,” said Mayor Harold Copenhaver. “Transparency is a priority for the City of Jonesboro, and continued investments like this make information more accessible to everyone. It’s another step forward in serving our community.”
These new online tools allow for access to Freedom of Information requests, proclamation and speaker requests, media inquiries, crisis communications and others.
By providing more online tools, Jonesboro is ensuring that residents, media, and community groups can connect quickly and efficiently, said Donna Malone, marketing and outreach coordinator. The next step will be expanding PEG Channel 24 to the city’s website, allowing viewers to watch anywhere, anytime by 2026.
In addition to these new features, residents are encouraged to utilize the Jonesboro’s Legistar portal, maintained by the city clerk’s office, to access official records of city actions, legislation documents, council and committee meeting minutes, upcoming agendas, livestreams, and archived videos of previous meetings.
