Guys I Have Something I Need To Confess or Gay Is Okay is a redraw meme format based on an exploitable webcomic in which a man confesses a “scary or horrifying secret” to his friends or parents, who are prepared for him to come out as gay or trans, and react with shock after he makes his unexpected confession. The comic is originally by X / Twitter user and artist @featherleafern and was posted on July 25th, 2025. The comic became the subject of edits, memes and redraws over the following days, many of which replace the characters and text in the speech bubbles.

On July 25th, 2025, X user @featherleafern posted a comic under the caption, “current favorite internet joke” that gained over 141,000 likes and 16,000 reposts in four days. In the comic, a man says to his friends or parents, “Guys… I have something I need to confess.” The next speech bubble from the character reads, “(some scary or horrifying secret).” In the final panel, the two people he confessed to are seen in shock under a banner reading, “Gay is Okay!” The man is seen holding a pride flag and wearing an “I <3 trans” shirt and the woman is seen holding a cake with the trans pride flag on it.

On July 26th, 2025, X user @Whytyler_why quoted the post, writing, “Miles when he tells his parents he’s spiderman,” garnering over 56,000 likes in three days.
Later that day, X user @rxinbowsfr posted a redraw of the comic depicting the situation with Miles Morales, garnering over 238,000 likes in three days.
On July 27th, X user @Tokiimekii posted a redraw of the meme based on the video game Omori, which was reposted to the /r/OMORI subreddit later that day, garnering over 5,200 likes on the former and 1,600 upvotes on the latter in two days.
Later on 27th, 2025, X user @dialleia posted a redraw referencing How to Train Your Dragon that gained over 123,000 likes in two days.
On July 28th, Redditor u/galaxywithstarss posted a redraw of the comic referencing Miraculous Ladybug to the /r/MiraculousLadybug subreddit, garnering over 1,400 upvotes in a day.
That same day, Instagram user twinkters then reposted the Miles Morales redraw, garnering over 15,000 likes in a day.
On July 29th, 2025, Redditor u/Widvnhak posted a redraw of the meme based on Doki Doki Literature Club to the /r/DDLC subreddit, garnering over 8,200 upvotes in under a day.
