Poco C85 Drops with 6,000 mAh Battery for Only $95

Poco has officially launched the C85, a budget smartphone that brings a large battery cell despite its entry-level specifications. Closely resembling the Redmi 15C 4G released earlier this month, the Poco C85 offers similar hardware under a different brand identity and new colors.

Design and Display

The Poco C85 is equipped with a large 6.9-inch LCD featuring a 720×1600 pixel resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The screen supports up to 810 nits peak brightness. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. It measures 171.56 x 79.47 x 7.99 mm and weighs 205 grams. Available color options include black, green, and purple.

Internals and Software

Internally, the Poco C85 runs on the MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra chipset. It comes in two variants: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. While the company has not confirmed the software version, it is likely to feature MIUI for Poco, based on a recent version of Android.

Cameras

The device includes a 50MP main rear camera designed for standard photo capture. The other camera, which is mostly just there for show, is a QVGA sensor. On the front, it offers an 8MP selfie camera. Video recording goes up to 1080p 30 fps on both the front and back cameras.

Battery and Pricing

A key highlight of this phone is the 6,000 mAh battery, which supports 33W fast wired charging. Although official pricing and regional availability have not been disclosed, the phone is expected to be $95, within the lower-cost bracket due to its positioning and shared specs with the Redmi 15C 4G.
