Jack Grealish and his girlfriend Sasha Attwood have reportedly been left upset and disappointed by a major update from police investigating a raid on their Cheshire mansion that saw thieves steal jewellery and watches worth £1million.

The break-in took place on Boxing Day 2023 while Grealish was playing for Manchester City against Everton. Attwood and ten members of his family were inside the £5.6m property near Knutsford when the gang struck. She raised the alarm, but the raiders fled within minutes with their haul.

As reported by The Sun, Cheshire Police have now closed the case following what they described as a ‘detailed investigation’, with no suspects identified.

Grealish and Attwood are said to be ‘devastated’ by the decision amid fears the gang who carried out the raid will now escape justice.

The England star admitted shortly after the break-in that it had shaken his family badly, writing on Instagram: ‘I can’t begin to explain how devastated I am over the burglary that took place at my home. My family means the world to me and nothing is more important than ensuring their safety. This has been a traumatic experience for all of us, I’m just so grateful that nobody was hurt.’

Cheshire Police said this week: ‘Following a detailed investigation by detectives, this case has now been closed with no suspects identified. Should any information come to light, then it will be reviewed by officers.’

The ordeal left Grealish anxious for months, but he is now seeking fresh focus on the pitch after a summer loan move to Everton.

The 29-year-old made his full debut for the Toffees on Sunday and was named player of the match after inspiring a 2-0 win over Brighton on the opening day at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Grealish assisted both goals, teeing up Iliman Ndiaye for the historic first strike at the ground before laying on James Garner’s long-range effort.

‘For me, I wanted to come here and the main thing was to enjoy football, you know, enjoy playing every day,’ Grealish told beIN Sports afterwards.

‘And I think maybe at times in the last couple of years, I’ve fallen out of love – not fallen out of love, but just didn’t enjoy football as much as I should.

‘My family said it to me at times when I was at home and stuff. That’s down to no one else, it’s down to myself.

‘But yeah, I absolutely love football and I want to have that feeling again, when you wake up on a match day and you just can’t wait to get out there. That’s how I felt today and hopefully my performance showed that.’

He added: ‘I’ve been here now for just 10 days or something and I’ve loved every minute of it. Everyone has welcomed me so, so nicely. The manager has been brilliant with me, always speaking with me and making me feel wanted and loved really.

‘The group are a good group and I could see that from the outside over the last couple of years. I’m really fortunate to be a part of it now and hopefully we can make a lot of memories together.’

Away from football, Grealish and Attwood are long-term partners, having met as teenagers at school in Solihull.

The couple, both 29, welcomed their first child, daughter Mila, earlier this year and recently enjoyed a summer holiday together.

Attwood has established herself as a successful model and influencer with more than 300,000 Instagram followers, regularly sharing her travels and fashion looks.
