What was your dream job and why? I’m doing it — just not in the sense that I originally thought I would be. My dream job was to become a college professor because I’ve always been passionate about learning, personal growth, and helping others reach their potential. While I once pictured that happening in a traditional classroom, my path led me somewhere even more fulfilling. Today, I get to live out that purpose through my work as a business owner and podcast host.
What’s the next big personal or career challenge you plan to take on? I’m in a season of intentional alignment, seeking opportunities that allow me to inspire others to grow both personally and professionally. While I remain deeply committed to the work I’ve built through TrueLove Designs and “Unmasking the Heart for Change.”
What character traits do you feel have benefited you in your success? Resilience, creativity, and intentionality. I’ve learned to lean into what makes me different and to lead with heart.
What are some unique aspects of your job or business? TrueLove Designs blends technology with meaningful personalization. Whether its laser engraving or full-color UV printing, every piece is an opportunity to honor a memory, celebrate a milestone, or tell a powerful story.
How do you spend your time away from work? What are your hobbies? I enjoy writing, journaling, and reading personal development books — they help me stay grounded and continually growing. I also love spending intentional time with my kids, especially now that we’re all navigating new life seasons.
What advice would you give young women who are at the beginning of their careers? Start before you feel ready and more importantly, believe in yourself enough to bet on that person. Your future self will thank you! Let passion lead, but pair it with discipline, consistency, and a willingness to grow through the uncomfortable parts.
If you have a bucket list, what are the top three things on it? Visit all 50 states; launch a scholarship fund for young women entrepreneurs; and create a documentary or visual storytelling project highlighting community changemakers.
Who have been mentors who’ve influenced your professional career? Mentorship has come in many forms throughout my journey. Arkansas State University has played a significant role in shaping my professional path. I was fortunate to have professors who didn’t just teach, they invested in me. Being selected as part of the 2025 Arkansas Delta Women’s Leadership Academy cohort also deepened that mentorship network.
Do you have a significant other and/or children? If so, what do you guys like to do for fun? I’m incredibly blessed to be married to my husband, David who is my greatest supporter and constant encourager. Alongside him, my two children, Drew and Ryleigh, have always been my biggest inspiration. They continuously challenge me to grow, led by example, and show up as the best version of myself.
What has been the most fulfilling moment of your career so far? Launching “Unmasking the Heart for Change,” my podcast, has been one of my proudest and most fulfilling accomplishments — not just because of what it’s become, but because of what it’s required of me.
