During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, while playing the ‘True or False’ game, Margaret Qualley confessed to her recent attempt at matchmaking for her mother, Andie MacDowell, and Bill Murray. When popped with the statement if she had ever tried to set her mother up with Murray, the actress said, “true,” making the audience and Fallon go crazy. She joked that the idea came after Murray popped backstage in her dressing room. However, when she got to know that he is living in Charleston just like her mother, she started putting two and two together, activating her cupid instincts.

“They’re both crazy. Let’s get it together!,” Qualley laughed, suggesting a possible reunion. Further in the conversation, she recounted that Murray mentioned past tensions with her mother during the filming of Groundhog Day, like forgetting her lines, to which she said, “I heard a different story, sir.” The actress, who feels the two harbor a rage towards each other, humorously offered to give him her mother’s number to potentially make amends and reconnect.
