Kate Gosselin Reacts To Son Collin’s Claims
Kate took to social media on Friday to seemingly respond to her son’s scathing remarks about her tearing their family apart.
Collin had shared a TikTok post that included a throwback photo of him and fellow sextuplets, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Leah, and Joel, along with their elder twin sisters. In the caption of the post, he alleged that they were used for “fame and money” and “pitted against each other.”
Subsequently, Kate posted a video on TikTok, tagged “Kitchen Talk and Tips.” However, a fan took to the comment section and shared a screenshot of Collin’s post, which featured his claims about his family being torn apart.
This prompted Kate to write that Collin “knows why” he and his siblings are no longer together, along with a crying emoji.

“The physical and emotional abuse I was put through, while having to be an animal in her circus on TV. Being locked up, isolated, zip tied,” Collin wrote. “Being sent away because I didn’t fit into an equation. Having one visit from her after being completely cut off with no contact at 12 years old, in which the whole visit was her telling me how I deserved the situation I was in because I ‘destroyed our family.'”
“Yeah, I’m sorry, but I will never ‘understand’ that,” he added. “I will break the cycle that she couldn’t.”

Prior to her comments about her Collin, Kate opened up to fans about her financial situation and her “very busy day” after sharing a video on TikTok where she can be seen doing dishes following a lengthy shift as a pediatric home health care nurse.
In the candid video, she’s seen cleaning up as a pediatric nurse, who typically earns around $30 per hour in most states.
“It was another 12-hour day, and my patient and I did a bunch of things. We went to all the things together. We went to a birthday party,” she explained, with the video showing her engaging in the activities with the patient.
Kate was once a fixture on television as her family’s life was put on display in the reality TV show “Jon & Kate Plus 8.”

The Former Reality TV Star Admits She Spent All Her Money On Attorneys

In the comment section of Kate’s post, multiple fans began to ask why she was back at her nursing job, with one individual mentioning that they thought she would be “set for life” after the TLC show.
“I wish,” she replied. “I spent sooooooo much money on attorneys. That killed us! So sad!”
Another follower asked her, “What happened with all the income from the show?”
“Honestly? Providing for 8 kids, college funds which I am proud to say covered all of their college and more, and LAWYERS,” Kate explained. “Sickening, but I was dragged into court constantly, and that costs A TON. Sad bc my kids could have a lot more saved, and I could have a retirement saved if it weren’t for the lawyers.”
She, however, mentioned to the fan that it was “okay,” and that she’s “helping other families, and I feel needed and I enjoy helping!”
Kate went further to reply to a fan after they asked how long she’d been in the profession. “28 years,” she wrote. “Wow. That made me feel super old to type that number.”

Kate And Jon Gosslin’s Dispute Over Custody

A source previously shared that the mom-of-eight was in need of money and was seeking new TV opportunities.
“She’s hurting for money and facing the very real possibility of having to sell her house in North Carolina,” the insider told In Touch. “She doesn’t date or socialize with friends. Even her nursing job that paid her a fraction of what she made on Kate Plus 8 didn’t pan out.”
Meanwhile, Kate was seemingly referencing her divorce from Jon when she mentioned how she spent a fortune on attorney fees.
The pair were involved in a very public split as they slugged out custody issues and asset sharing.
Alongside gaining ownership of their family home, she also got primary custody of their eight children, but Jon later got sole custody of Hannah and Collin back in 2018.
