Kanye West‘s former Malibu mansion has hit the market again, making it the fourth time in 5 years it has been listed.
This comes after the “Donda” rapper placed his burned-down church and his Calabasas ranch on the market, as rumors suggest he’s in need of money and has been struggling to get bookings.
A new video making the rounds also shows Kanye West having a meltdown as he refuses to take his medications, with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, saying his personality has “changed.”

Kanye West’s Malibu Mansion Gets Listed Again

West’s stripped-bare Malibu mansion is back on the market again after changing hands several times over the last couple of years.
The once acclaimed architectural masterpiece, which Japanese architect Tadao Ando designed, was listed this week for $34.9 million months after going into contract.
Montana-based luxury developer and builder Andrew Mazzella entered into a contract in March for the property. However, the deal between Mazzella and the company that took it off West has seemingly dragged on ever since, per Mansion Global.
Mazzella told the news outlet that the property is “a very complicated construction project,” and said that negotiations are still ongoing.
“I consider my business style to be that of Trump, Musk, and Carl Icahn combined, so it’s not an easy process,” he explained.

The Property’s History On The Market

The “Vultures 1” rapper purchased the property for $57.3 million in 2021, and then controversially gutted the interior, leaving it a hollowed-out concrete shell.
Reports suggest he wanted to turn it into his own “bomb shelter” and “bat cave,” stripping it of its electrical works, windows, and interior designs. However, he subsequently abandoned the project, leaving the Malibu Beachfront mansion a shadow of itself.
Real estate firm Belwood Investments then snapped up the property in 2024 for $21 million and commenced restoration efforts on it, installing all new framing, plumbing, roofing, and electrical work.

The crowdfunded firm listed the semi-restored property for $39 million earlier this year, but entered into a contract with Mazzella’s company, Andrew Mazzella Ventures LLC, in March for an undisclosed sum upward of $30 million, per the Wall Street Journal.
According to the New York Post, the luxury builder made an offer for the property and planned to finish it before placing it on the market again for around $55 million to $65 million.

Kanye West Placed Two Of His Other Properties For Sale

The “Carnival” rapper has already placed two of his properties up for sale, as rumors suggest he’s “desperate for money.”
As previously reported by The Blast, West listed his burned church in the San Fernando Valley for $1.5 million, the same price it was bought for in 2023.
The building, which was razed down in October 2024, is described online as a “rare opportunity to purchase a 29,364 square foot flat lot” in a prime area of the valley, as buyers are encouraged to “explore the development potential, which could allow for multi-family use.”
The father-of-four also placed his derelict Calabasas ranch up for sale, with the asking price set around $2 million.

The compound, which once played host to his failed Christian private school Donda Academy, boasts a workshop barn and is accessed via a private bridge. The main house needs restoration work, as some parts have been demolished.
The Rapper Sparked Concern In A Video From An Upcoming Documentary

Meanwhile, a never-before-seen video for the documentary, “In Whose Name,” captured West looking distraught as he refused to take his medications.
The film, which was shot by 18-year-old filmmaker Nico Ballesteros, peels back the curtain on the rapper’s life across a 6-year window.
In its first trailer released on Wednesday, West declared in a voiceover: “I’m off my meds for five months now.”
However, his then-wife, Kim Kardashian, was visibly distressed about it, noting how his psychological health had been affected.
“Your personality was not like this a few years ago,” she said, per The Independent.

Kanye West Declared That He’d ‘Rather Be Dead’ Than Take Drugs

After Kardashian’s remarks about West’s personality, things seemingly escalated in another scene.
“I would rather be dead than be on medication… Either they destroy me or I destroy it.. I’m almost like a masochist… I write whatever I want when I want! It’s words!” the rapper stated.
A release about the project explains the meaning of its title, noting it “examines the evolving nature of idolatry, both in Ye’s cultivation of public idolatry and in his pursuit of various idols, from luxury brands and celebrity to faith and family.”
“It also speaks to the director’s deeper creative and spiritual reckoning: Was this film made in Ye’s name, his own, or something greater?” the release concluded.
The documentary is set to be released on September 9.
