Fulham are interested in Rasmus Hojlund - but he wants to stay and fight at Manchester United

Fulham are showing tentative interest in Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund.

The Cottagers are weighing up a move for the Denmark international as Rodrigo Muniz is the subject of bids from Atalanta.

AC Milan have been in talks with United for Hojlund and have offered a £4.5million loan fee with an option to buy for £39m.

However, Hojlund has been digging in his heels saying he wants to stay and fight for his place – despite Benjamin Sesko arriving for £73million as part of a new look £200m frontline.

Fulham would need to know Hojlund wants to come before making a suitable offer.

So far, Hojlund is backing himself to still make a contribution to Ruben Amorim’s squad and to be ready regardless of whether Sesko fails to hit the ground running.

United are eager to sell though as the 22-year old has struggled to convince since arriving from Atalanta hence their move for the more prolific Sesko.

United still want to add a midfielder and possibly a goalkeeper but need to sell to balance the books.

They expect a bid from Chelsea for £50m rated Alejandro Garnacho but Real Betis are struggling to hit the desired figures for Antony.

As Daily Mail Sport reported earlier this week, Roma have asked about a loan with option to buy at £20million for Jadon Sancho but United’s preference is to sell outright.

Sancho is not the only Premier League player Roma are interested in. Talks have also been held for Aston Villa’s Leon Bailey and Wolves’ Fabio Silva.

Meanwhile, midfielder Toby Collyer is joining West Brom on a season loan.
