Zack Kifer got an early start in commercial real estate, starting when he was a junior in high school.
He later worked for Flake & Kelley in Little Rock for a few years and had the chance to open Moses Tucker Partners’ Fayetteville office on the brokerage side just a few years after graduating from the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.
He worked at Moses Tucker for eight years, eventually becoming a partner before starting Genesis Commercial with Grady Mathews.
“He’s brought in many retailers that were not in the market prior [including] Homegrown, Tin Roof and others,” Mathews said. “Starting up his own commercial firm at 32 is impressive. He’s a huge part of the success Genesis has seen and is in the weeds every day not just brokering deals but truly helping build operations and the business.”
He has brokered numerous retail and restaurant deals, focusing on the downtown areas and placemaking with those, Kifer said.
“The tenant mix has been a big focus on the retail side, trying to get the right retail and restaurants to take developments to the next level,” he said.
Along with that business, Kifer formed a group in 2019 to purchase the Sod Store in Tontitown when his father became ill. In 2024, he became the sole owner of the company his parents founded in 1992. During that time, he has grown the business fivefold.
Relentless in pursuit of his goals, Kifer strives to be the top commercial real estate broker in Northwest Arkansas.
“That has been a career goal of mine since Day 1,” he said.
Kifer is a fundraising partner for First Tee — Northwest Arkansas and is involved with Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
