If you guessed that the viral trend that’s got many people in a chokehold is Labubu, then you guessed right!
Many stores have been struggling to keep them on shelves because it appears that this trend isn’t dying down at all.
So just what is a Labubu? It’s a little monster that’s stealing hearts all over the world. All ages have jumped on this trend, and celebrities are no different. Some sports stars, singers, actors, and other people in the spotlight have shared their love for Labubu on social media recently. And while this trend isn’t exactly new and Labubu has actually been around for many years, it seems to have hit TikTok in the U.S. pretty hard earlier this year and is still going strong.

Howie Mandel Recently Got His First, Or Seventh, Labubu
Comedian Howie Mandel recently shared his “first Labubu moment” in a TikTok video. Then someone calls him out saying it’s his “seventh.”
“I wanna say it’s my first. My name is Howie and I’m here to buy a Labubu,” he said to a cashier. “I would like the newer version of them.”
The cashier then showed him the older version vs. a newer version and what the differences are. He was then told that those two are $70. He then asked for the newest Labubu, which sells for $90.

In the comment section, Mandel wrote, “Someone please explain what I got.” Regardless of if he understands what he got or not, he definitely seems to be hooked on this trend.

WNBA Star Breanna Stewart Loves Labubu
In a TikTok video shared by ESPNW captioned, “It’s a Labubu summer, we don’t make the rules,” New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart shows her love for Labubu. Written on the video – “Stewie added a Labubu to her fit.”
“Labubu summer vibes are real, who else is feeling it?” one viewer shared in the comment section. Another added, “After she talked about it all weekend lol she had to add it.”
Stewie also shared her own video showing off a Labubu with a New York Liberty fit on. It’s safe to say she’s a Labubu lover and collector!

Asking WNBA Players About The Viral Craze
In a video shared by Enjoybball on TikTok, some WNBA players were asked, “What’s your take on Labubus?”
Syndey Colson said “I don’t get it. They’re scary looking to me.” Sabrina Ionescu said she “loves them” and wants one. When it came time for Stewie to respond, she said, “I love Labubus. I have some.”
Some of the players said they liked them, others weren’t interested at all, and some didn’t even know what they were.

Lance Bass And Bethenny Frankel Both Love This Viral Craze
Singer Lance Bass is a Labubu lover and not afraid to share his obsession on TikTok. To date, he’s shared a few videos about his love of these little monsters. He once asked what it is, and now he’s the owner of multiple monsters.
He captioned one video simply, “I get it now.” A follow up video shows him unboxing multiple new friends.
Reality star Bethenny Frankel also jumped head first into this trend. She shared a video that shows she’s “obsessed” with Labubu.
“I’m obsessed with this. I went from thinking this was the most stupid thing that I’ve ever seen to thinking it’s the most brilliant thing that I’ve ever seen,” she said in her video as she showed off her fashionable Labubu. “It is a significant portion of my personality now.”
