Ademola Lookman has said he is determined to get back to his best form after scoring in Atalanta’s 1-1 draw with AC Milan on Tuesday night.
The Nigerian forward scored the equaliser for Atalanta, marking his first goal of the season for the Serie A club.
Lookman has found it difficult in recent weeks, partly because he missed pre-season while trying to secure a move to Inter Milan during the summer transfer window.
Speaking after the match, the former Leicester City winger admitted he is still working towards full fitness and confidence but believes he is on the right path.
“I’ve not been able to find my form yet, physically or in front of goal, but I’ll get there eventually, and this was a step in the right direction,” Lookman told DAZN Italia.
“Hopefully, in the coming games, we’ll be able to get some wins.”
Atalanta will hope Lookman’s goal sparks a strong run of form as they continue their push in Serie A.
