Hearts moved eight points clear of Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a powerful 3-1 victory at Tynecastle, sending a strong message about their title ambitions and deepening Celtic’s early-season troubles.

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has called for calm and respect after being involved in a heated exchange with Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal following Real Madrid’s 2–1 win in Sunday’s El Clásico.

The Brazilian, who was one of Madrid’s standout performers before being substituted in the 72nd minute, found himself at the centre of post-match tension after confronting Yamal, who had made comments about Real Madrid earlier in the week.

Television cameras showed Vinicius gesturing towards the 18-year-old and appearing to say, “You talk too much,” moments after the final whistle. Both players had to be separated before the situation escalated further.

Despite the brief confrontation, Vinicius later sent a more composed message to Real Madrid fans, urging them to focus on the team’s victory and the spirit of the game.

“A message to all Madridistas, especially those who came to the Bernabéu and supported us passionately — this is how El Clásico is; there are many things happening on and off the pitch. We try to maintain balance, but that’s not always possible,” he said.

Vinicius also expressed that there was no intention to disrespect anyone, adding:

“We didn’t want to offend anyone, neither the young players nor the fans. We know that when we step onto the pitch, we have to play our role, and that’s how it was today. Hala Madrid.”

His remarks come as Real Madrid celebrate an important win over their rivals, maintaining their strong start to the La Liga season. While the emotions of El Clásico once again ran high, Vinicius’ message highlighted his desire to keep the focus on football and respect — both for teammates and opponents alike.
