Oppo Find X9 Series to Become Smarter Than Ever Thanks to This Upgrade

Oppo has expanded its Find X9 lineup in China with an announcement that will make these phones smarter than ever. The company has entered into a new partnership with Google^[1] to introduce a range of intelligent features powered by Gemini AI, set to debut on the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro^[2]. The collaboration is expected to roll out globally alongside the phones’ international launch.

Mind Space

A central part of this collaboration is Oppo’s Mind Space app, which will work in tandem with Google Gemini. The app allows users to capture what’s on their screens with a simple three-finger swipe. Once saved, Gemini AI can analyze the captured content and perform relevant actions, streamlining how users interact with information on their devices. In practice, this is quite similar to Google’s Circle to Search feature.

ColorOS 16 with Google Gemini

Oppo’s ColorOS 16 will deliver tighter integration with Google’s AI ecosystem. The software update brings enhanced Gemini support across several native Oppo^[3] applications. Users will also have access to Nano Banana AI image editing, along with new tools such as AI Search, AI Call Summary, AI Recorder, and AI Writer. Together, these features aim to make routine phone use more intuitive and efficient.

Gemini Live

Owners of the Find X9 series will also gain access to Gemini Live, a real-time assistant that provides on-screen visual guidance and contextual help. All of these AI functions are powered by Oppo’s AI Private Computing Cloud, which operates under Google Cloud protection to ensure strong privacy and data security standards.

As part of the launch, Oppo confirmed that every Find X9 and Find X9 Pro buyer will receive a free three-month Google AI Pro subscription, giving users early access to premium Gemini features. Oppo has not confirmed whether future Oppo phones will also have Google Gemini, but given how deep the integration is, we suspect the partnership is meant to last.
