The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has directed the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to launch an online housing scheme verification portal, enabling citizens to verify the legal status of housing projects before investing.

A special meeting was held at the NAB Rawalpindi/Islamabad Conference Room, chaired by NAB Rawalpindi Director General Waqar Ahmad Chohan. The discussion centered on developing a digital system that would allow the public to check the approval status of both housing schemes and individual plots.

During the session, DG NAB Waqar Ahmad Chohan highlighted the need for transparency and public access to credible real estate information. He instructed officials from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and RDA to share their data so it can be integrated into the RDA online housing scheme verification system.

He added that another brainstorming session will take place next week to finalize the technical and operational framework of the portal, which aims to curb fraudulent housing projects and promote investor confidence.
