Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen continued his impressive form for Galatasaray by scoring his 43rd goal for the club in their 3–1 home win over Göztepe in the 10th week of the Turkish Super League.
Osimhen opened the scoring in the 19th minute, helping the yellow-reds to another important league victory. The goal marked a special milestone for the 26-year-old, who has now matched the goal tally of his current coach Okan Buruk and former Galatasaray forward Umut Bulut in the club’s history.
While Osimhen reached 43 goals in just 50 official matches, Buruk scored the same number across 306 appearances, and Bulut achieved it in 173 matches.
Osimhen’s remarkable goal-scoring rate has made him one of Galatasaray’s most influential players since joining the Turkish giants, and he continues to win the hearts of fans with his consistent performances.
The victory over Göztepe keeps Galatasaray in strong contention at the top of the Super League table as they look to defend their title.
