Google is expanding Android 16’s Live Updates feature, bringing it to Google[1] Wallet for a more seamless travel experience. First introduced in June, Android 16 introduced several new features, and Live Updates stood out with its ability to display real-time notifications for ongoing activities like navigation, ride-hailing, and food delivery.
With its latest rollout, Google Wallet now supports Live Updates[2], allowing users to view key travel details such as flight schedules, train journeys, and event tickets directly on their lock screen. This eliminates the need to open multiple apps, making travel updates faster and more convenient.
At the same time, Samsung[3] is also improving how users access travel information. The company’s Now Bar can now display travel updates from Google Wallet, provided the device runs One UI 8 and Google Play services version 25.41. This integration ensures that essential travel alerts and itineraries appear instantly, keeping users informed at a glance.
