Huawei appears to be preparing a new addition to its Mate 70 lineup[1], with a fresh “Air” model possibly on the way. A device named Huawei Mate 70 Air has surfaced on the China Telecom website, revealing several key details ahead of its official debut.

According to the listing, the phone carries the model number SUP-AL90 and is designed to be both slim and lightweight, aligning with the growing trend of “Air” editions from other smartphone brands. The device features a 6.9-inch display and runs on HarmonyOS 5, Huawei’s latest operating system.

Leaked images on the site show a circular rear camera module housing three sensors, including a periscope telephoto lens. On the front, the Mate 70 Air has a pill-shaped cutout, likely accommodating the selfie camera and additional sensors that could enable 3D face unlock functionality.

The listing also confirms[2] that the phone will offer up to 12GB of RAM, with 256GB or 512GB of internal storage options. Huawei may launch the Mate 70 Air in Golden Black, Feather White, and Gold Silver Brocade color variants.

If the listing is accurate, Huawei’s next release will blend elegant design with flagship features to challenge the growing wave of “Air” phones in the premium mid-range segment.
