Saudi Arabia’s GO Telecommunications Group launched its AI Hub in Pakistan on Saturday to strengthen digital collaboration, boost innovation, and enhance skills development between the two nations.

The initiative was inaugurated by Federal IT and Telecom Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja alongside Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki and senior officials. According to the ministry, the AI Hub in Pakistan will promote artificial intelligence research, knowledge exchange, digital capacity building, and co-creation of technology solutions under Saudi-Pakistan cooperation.

Minister Shaza Fatima said the GO AI Hub is not a one-time initiative but a sustainable digital platform that enables Pakistani professionals and entrepreneurs to collaborate directly with Saudi companies.

“Through this hub, Pakistani freelancers can offer services to Saudi firms remotely, reducing travel and operational costs,” she explained.

She added that the project marks the start of major data infrastructure investments that will support Pakistan’s growing digital ecosystem. Calling it the “first drop of many to come,” the minister expressed optimism that Pakistan will soon attract billions of dollars in fresh investment from Saudi partners.

Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki said the company had already achieved success with a similar hub in Silicon Valley, USA, and was now extending its expertise to Pakistan.

“We look forward to more projects that will deepen our strategic partnership,” he stated.

National Coordinator SIFC Gen Sarfaraz Ahmed, PSEB CEO Abu Bakar, and other senior officials attended the launch event.
